The Project Management Institute (PMI) ® issues Professional Development Units (PDUs) to the candidate after the completion of any certification course. To hold your certification from PMI, you should earn a particular number of PDUs every three years.

SEUs, or Scrum Educational Units, are credits that you can get by spending time on practicing and studying Scrum. Each hour that you spend reading Scrum articles, volunteering, attending Agile events, and taking courses , amounts to one SEU. Scrum Alliance requires that you add a specific number of SEUs before you can renew your certification every two years.
